Happy with Host Monster, but maybe not the team...
After falling into a ridiculously expensive hosting contract I felt moving to Host Monster would be the right step for me an my online business... And I was right! The C panel is easy to navigate around, their reliability is nigh on perfect and they have everything I would ever want from a host!
But, and there IS always a but... the customer service and technical support were not able to give me any support at all! They were a but useless top be honest, so, in conclusion - if you are looking for your first host then this may not be the company for you, but if you are a veteran like me and you know how to handle your own account then there is no need to speak with the incompetent support team :)
Still owned by Blue Host?
I have been a Blue Host customer for many years now and I needed a totally separate account. Being aware that the 2 companies were originally under the same umbrella organisation I decided to see how different things were over at Host Monster.
48 hours later and I've cancelled my account and will never do business with them again. It took Hostmonster 6 hours to get my site online with emails going backwards and forth all day. Everytime I contacted their live chat support they, like the phone team just seemed confused and told me to email another email address.
Then when I finally received my welcome email my logins would not work and my domain name hadn't been registered, 2 hours later and it was too late... I could not wait any longer and I sent in my request to cancel. I haven't received my refund yet but let's hope it's not as difficult as signing up.
